The Brooks Quimby Debate Council, currently ranked 9th in the world by the International Debate Education Association (IDEA), has had continued success since the end of fall semester.

A look back at the season’s successes for the BQDC
Ian Mahmud, Ben Smith, Cat Djang, Alana Folsom, Corey Creedon, Vic Sliwa, Kevin McCandlish, Emily Schwalbe, and Andrew Wong were elected to the 2011-2012 Officer Board.
Several BQDC members briefly escaped freezing temperatures this past March 3rd to 6th, travelling to the 2011 Stanford APDA Debate Tournament for a successful effort on the “Best Coast.”
Colin Etnire, Catherine Djang, and I have all qualified for Nationals this year.
On January 21st and 22nd, teams from all over the country (and one team from Canada!) braved the weather in order to debate at Brooks Quimby's annual American Parliamentary debate tournament.
In what has become an annual tradition, the team's novice debaters squared off Saturday in the team's annual Novice Tournament.
The MLK public debate, a yearly highlight on the BQDC debate schedule, attracted a large audience for an afternoon of charged, impassioned discourse.
