Novices Top Team at Stanford Tournament

The Brooks Quimby Debate Council sent five teams to Stanford University's annual APDA debate tournament in sunny Stanford, California. The novice teams of Andrew Wong '12 and Mir Lupu '11, and Colin Etnire '12 and Ian Mahmud '12 both made it to the novice semi-finals. The team of Etnire and Mahmud defeated one of Yale University's top novice teams to take first place in the novice bracket at Stanford. Etnire also took the tournament's award for top novice speaker.

The novice team of Andy Kageleiry '12 and Mikey Pasek '12, and the varsity teams of Ali Vingiano '11 and Nate Sweet '11, and Geoff Shaughnessy '09 and David Kelly '09 also attended the Stanford University tournament on behalf of the Team.
