The Brooks Quimby Debate Council traditionally hosts two tournaments each academic year. In the fall, we host a well-regarded tournament for Maine high school students. In the winter, we host our annual collegiate debate tournament with attendees from across the United States as part of the American Parliamentary Debate Association. We have previously played host to additional tournaments, such as the North American Debate Championships — most recently in 2007 — and preparatory competitions for the Worlds Universities Debating Championship.
